Above and Beyond: Where Craftsmanship Meets Quiet Luxury
19–21 June 2026
Viki Knott Gallery, Edinburgh ,
This summer marks the debut of Above and Beyond, an elevated collaboration between ceramic artist Charlotte Cadzow and creative stylist Sophie Corbett — a meeting of heritage craftsmanship, contemporary refinement, and a shared connection to the East Lothian coastline. offering an intimate introduction to a collection that celebrates the transformative power of handmade objects.
Charlotte Cadzow has been creating and exhibiting ceramics for more than 28 years. After graduating in ceramics in 1995, she exhibited at London’s V&A Museum and later travelled to Japan to work with the renowned potter Ryoji Koie, an experience that continues to influence her practice today. Working from her East Lothian studio, Charlotte creates tactile, sculptural pieces inspired by nature, mythology and imagination. Her distinctive work has been commissioned by Michelin-starred restaurants and boutique hotels, most recently including The Fife Arms.
Creative stylist Sophie Corbett brings her own deeply personal connection to East Lothian. Her father, Ronnie Corbett, purchased the family’s home in Gullane when Sophie was eleven years old, and the region quickly became a cherished second home. Summers and Christmases spent there created lasting memories, and today Sophie and her sister Emma continue to enjoy the house and its strong family associations.
Sophie works across styling, interiors and floral design, she has developed an intuitive, layered approach that lends a quietly sophisticated narrative to the collaboration.
Together, Charlotte and Sophie have created a limited edition collection that embodies modern luxury through artisanal process and enduring craftsmanship. Balancing refinement with raw texture, the collection celebrates nature, form and artistry in equal measure.
Step into the world of Above and Beyond, where creativity, the natural world and imagination turn into ceramic objects of beauty and function.
